Peter Bergeland, Des Moines, Iowa State Advocate
Hello fellow Iowa outdoors enthusiasts! As State Advocate I hope to raise the awareness of the principles of Leave No Trace throughout our great state. By connecting the skills and knowledge of our resident Leave No Trace Educators with our local land agencies and everyone interested in preservation of our natural resources we can help ensure that Iowa remains a great place to live.
Please consider me a resource in support of your outdoor group’s activities. As an Leave No Trace Master Educator I would be happy to host training for your group. Keep me in mind as a speaker for your next meeting.
I look forward to working with groups of all kinds including youth organizations, college clubs, outfitters, and those planning conservation projects.
